Certificated emergency first aid training for small to medium businesses.
This 1-day emergency first aid course is ideal for smaller businesses with a requirement for certificated training that meets the national standards for first aid in the workplace. This course offers cost effective first aid training for employers that meets the Health and Safety (First-Aid) Regulations 1981.

Course content
Core first aid training covers the essential skills required to assess & treat a casualty who is bleeding, unconscious or stopped breathing. This includes the basic skills needed in the work environment to ‘hold the fort’ until Paramedic help arrives.
- Assessing vital signs
Brain Activity, Breathing & Circulation
- Approaching and assessing a casualty
The A.B.C. of first aid
- Recognising & treating medical emergencies
Heart attack, strokes & choking
- Basic Life Support & defibrillators
Performing CPR, recognising cardiac arrest & using an AED (defibrillator)
- Treating immediately life threatening conditions
Bleeding, burns, scalds & shock
- Taking action to prevent further deterioration
Ensuring a safe airway, stabilising, bandaging & immobilising
- Current regulations, record keeping & accident reporting
- Common minor injuries
Cuts, grazes, eye injury & soft tissue damage
