Defibrillator (AED) Training

Learn essential life saving skills to carry out CPR & use an Automated External Defibrillator (AED). A cardiac arrest can happen to anyone, anywhere, at any time and the rate of survival falls by about 10% for every minute that passes without effective CPR and the use of a defibrillator.

This course provides hands-on, practical training to give you the confidence to perform effective CPR and use a defibrillator in the workplace or community setting.

Course content

• Assessing vital signs
  Brain Activity, Breathing & Circulation

• Approaching and assessing a casualty (D.R. + A.B.C.)
  Performing a primary survey & stabilising a casualty that has collapsed & is unresponsive

• Basic Life Support
  Performing effective CPR

• Treating a suspected cardiac arrest
  Operating an Automatic External Defibrillator

This course includes a certificate of competence.
